You can click to the Sentencing Guidelines on this website to determine what potential penalties you may be facing. Some charges, like "domestic violence" offenses, have special mandatory conditions that will not be reflected in our sentencing guidelines. It is always in your best interest to speak directly to an attorney to find out what the actual consequences are for the specific charge(s) you are facing.
The citation or summons should determine which specific charge(s) the person is facing. Typically, it will state next to the charge whether the person is facing a misdemeanor or felony charge and what class it is (i.e., one, two, three, etc.). If the person is in custody, you can call the facility where the person is being held or use that facility's website, to determine what charges the individual is facing.
If you are unsure as to what type of charge she/he is facing, you can call our office at (480) 777-5170 and we should be able to help you to determine where in the sentencing guidelines you should be looking.
